The First Stop

It took awhile for the flight to leave Chicago, but I’ve made it half way now. London is an entirely different kind of jungle than Uganda, and is far more familiar. I lucked out and the keycode to the student center at FIE is the same, so I’ve been mooching their shower and internet services. I just got back from a lovely run in Hyde Park (did the loop I did all last semester). It’s a great day here, low 70s and sunny. Gonna try to do a swing to the crepe stand across from Big Ben and then to the British Museum before grabbing a quick bite to eat at one of our go-to pubs (the least classy of them all, but the cheapest and closest to the tube stop). My flight to Kampala leaves at 9:10 London time, so still have a solid 4 hours before I need to be headed towards the airport. WOOT!
